Kabaret Exposé

Kabaret Exposé lives up to its name, offering a traditional cabaret experience with an added touch of risqué entertainment. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by the hostess team, adorned in sleek black corsets and stockings, setting the tone for the evening. The venue boasts a cozy atmosphere with a low ceiling and dim lighting, featuring tables lined up for the audience. While seating may require some maneuvering for optimal views, we found it manageable.

Pre-show, guests are treated to various intriguing activities, such as performers mingling with the crowd, one wearing a balloon skirt asking audience members to pop balloons filled with conversation starters, while another distributes "pills" from a silver tray.....which were in fact TicTacs!

Once the show commences, the compere warms up the crowd, punctuating her dialogue with more than a few F bombs, setting the stage for what's to come—a departure from traditional burlesque into more daring territory. Later in the show she would ask audience members to fake an orgasm while on the mic.

The first act, Marue Devilreaux, looked phenomenal in glossy black attire, swiftly shedding layers to reveal more than expected, highlighting the expose part of the show. Normally one might expect to see tassels however we had an eye full of nipple, culminating in a milk-dousing finale. Throughout the night, a recurring cat motif adds whimsy to the performances.

A standout moment involves a silhouette screen used for a provocative schoolgirl/teacher duet. The cabaret girls were great with their infectious energy, charismatic dance numbers and many costume changes.

The line-up includes a fire performer, though the solo act falls short of expectations, it was to be redeemed later in a fiery duet, quite literally setting his partner ablaze. Additional acts feature an audience participation lap dance, a performer embodying a dog persona, Devilreaux's return with a wax-dripping routine, and an aerial display—all executed with minimal attire.

Musical selections range from classic rock, goth and EBM with a sprinkling of Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, and St. Trinian's soundtrack, providing a diverse soundtrack to the evening's festivities.

Food service is prompt, with dinner served at 7:30 pm, mains at 9:00pm, followed by dessert, complemented by a selection of cocktails.

Determining the target audience for Kabaret Exposé proves challenging; it straddles the line between traditional cabaret and adult entertainment, it’s a cabaret show with a lashing of smut. Ideal for a group outing or a memorable party night, it may also appeal to those looking to introduce a touch of adventure to their evening. However, those unfamiliar with the fetish scene may find the show's explicitness overwhelming. Overall, Kabaret Exposé promises an evening of titillation and entertainment for those willing to embrace its provocative charms.
